“Creativity is an engine for change”
Dieter Rung is an expert on leadership, social care and health as well as project management, especially focusing on digitalization in healthcare. Since April 2018, he has been head of company development and member of the executive board at the city of Winterthur, Switzerland, in the sector of seniority and care. Before that, he was head of the center for child and adolescent psychiatry in Littenheid, Switzerland, for 9 years. During that time, he developed a holistic design concept together with dan pearlman. Five characters specially created for Clienia correspond to the demands of the individual clinic wards and are designed to provide young residents a feeling of belonging and support. For example, the wolft Alfa provides a character that kids and adults with depression can identify with. Fear of school, ADHS, borderline personalities and traumas are also represented by the guardian protectors of each ward. In this way, Clienia conveys a feeling of security and understanding with Lino Castle.
Dieter Rung’s publications focus on the use of technology or the role of architecture in child and adolescent psychiatry.
