“We all are our cities.”
Yasha Young is our expert for urban contemporary art. She is a curator and innovator and focusses in her work on developing and supporting urban contemporary art. With more than 250 world-renowned exhibitions (e.g. Shephard Fairey, Saatchi UK) and as a gallery owner (Strychnin Gallery Locations: NYC / London / Berlin 2001 -2013), Yasha developed an incredible network of artists, collectors and companies. Recently, Yasha brought her creative vision into reality with URBAN NATION as a „living“ museum. As the concept creator and executive creative director of URBAN NATION, she created an „impossible“ museum for urban contemporary art in Berlin. The shared dream for Berlin, for the world: All nations under one roof. Yasha is living this dream by offering artists an integrative and educational platform. As part of her vision she created and founded the two internationally renowned exhibition and art projects: Project M / and One Wall which support young artists and curators on an international level and that are continuously evolving. In her heart and in her mind, finalising a project just means the beginning. Currently, she is responsible of curating the urban art and avant-garde segment of the Berlin exhibition at the Humboldt Forum Berlin which is opening in 2019. She also has gained recognition as a keynote and impulse speaker for organizations worldwide e.g. Remix Summits, Goethe Institute and IBX Rotterdam.
